National Candy Update 09-08-04 The "Dubble Bubble" Gum Pops are Clean, the glycerine is from beef sources. Kroger Update 08-27-04 Kroger Natural Cheeses (Hard and Sliced) are now made with Microbial/Synthetic enzymes. They are designated Clean. All Cheese Products with the word Gelatin in the Ingredient Legend are Unclean because the gelatin is from pork. Their Cottage Cheeses are Unclean because they are processed on the same lines with Cottage Cheese containing Pork derived gelatin. Morning Star Foods Update 08-27-04 Dean's Dips contain gelatin from plant and animal sources and are processed on the same lines with dips containing bacon. They are designated Unclean. McDonald's Update 08-23-04 McDonald's Apple Pies and Croutons contain L-Cysteine. They are designated Unclean. Information is pending on their other products. Nestle Update 08-23-04 Nestle Carnation Evaporated Milk is Clean. Multifoods Update 08-23-04 Pet Evaporated Milk is Clean. Gehl's Update 07-23-04 The following products are Clean: Gehl's Jalapeno, Super Jalapeno ,Supreme Jalapeno, Sharp Cheddar, Supreme Cheddar, Nacho Cheese, Tortilla Chips & Corn Chips. The Kroger (Deli Only) and Taco Bell (Restaurant Only) Cheese Sauces are Clean. The rennet and lipase enzymes are from beef and synthetic sources. The Mono-diglycerides are from soybeans. Arby’s Aged Cheddar Cheese is Clean. It contains a synthetic microbial rennet enzyme. Gehl's cheese sauces do not contain gluten. Check at most concession stands for Gehl's Cheese Sauces. Domino's Pizza Update 06-25-04 Domino's Hand Tossed Pizza Dough contains L-Cysteine: It is designated Unclean. The other pizza doughs are pending clarification. Sara Lee Foods Update 06-18-04 Ball Park Beef Franks are made with a cellulose casing that is non-pork. They are processed on different equipment from the pork franks and are designated Clean. Ball Park Kosher Beef Franks are designated Clean. Friendly Farms Update 06-09-04 Friendly Farms (Aldi's) Blueberry, Strawberry, and Strawberry-Banana Yogurts are Clean. General Mills Update 05-27-04 Yoplait-Colombo Yogurts are Clean, they contain gelatin from beef sources. Jennie-O Update 05-27-04 Jennie-O Turkey Ham has no pork derived ingredients and is designated Clean. Cahill Turkey Ham (Aldi's Product) is made by Jennie-O: it also has no pork derived ingredients and is designated Clean. The Smoke Flavor is Non-animal. Sara Lee Update 05-14-04 The Sara Lee French Cheesecake and the Strawberry French Cheesecake are now designated UNCLEAN. They contain gelatin from beef and pork sources. Kroger Foods Update 05-10-04 The following Kroger Instant Pudding Mixes (Banana Cream, Tapioca, and Pistachio) are Clean. The Mono-diglycerides are vegetable based. All Kroger Brand Products containing Gelatin are Unclean: the gelatin is from beef and pork sources. McCormick Update 05-07-04 All of the McCormick Bag Seasoning Mixes are Unclean due to the fact that they are processed on the same equipment that products containing pork ingredients are processed on. None of these products are certified kosher. Some of their individual seasonings in containers are certified kosher by the CRC, look for the following kosher symbol: cRc in a triangle. The Cupcakes that are Clean are those with the sprinkles only. Their Bread products are all vegetable based and are designated Clean. Wrigley Update 03-29-04 The Wrigley Company has changed the way its chewing gums are made: they no longer use animal derived ingredients in most of their products. There are two exceptions; Extra Polar Ice gum contains gelatin from animal sources, it is designated Unclean. Wrigley acquired the Amurol Company on January 1, 2004. The following gums and mints formerly produced by Amurol Confections, became a part of the Wrigley product portfolio: Hubba Bubba®, Bubble Tape®, Big League Chew®, Everest® and Dragon Fire® gum and Reed's® and Velamints® mints. As of June 1, 2003 these products have been free of any animal based ingredients. While most products manufactured before this June date are no longer on shelves, some packages can still remain. All products bearing a manufacture date of 000163 (YMDDMY) are Unclean. All other Wrigley Chewing Gums are designated CLEAN. The salad dressing contains bacon as well. It is designated Unclean. Burger King Update 03-16-04 We are in the process of investigating Burger King Products; this process will take some time to complete. Please be aware that many of their products contain ingredients that may be from pork sources. The Croutons are Unclean because they contain L-Cytseine. Their Crackers are Clean. Sargento Update 03-05-04 Most of their shredded and sliced cheeses and all of their refrigerated Sargento Snacks natural cheese sticks are made with non-animal rennets. The only Sargento natural cheeses that may contain animal enzymes are those that contain Romano, Provolone, Asiago, or Jarlsberg cheeses. The source of the animal enzyme is beef. The cheese dip in their non-refrigerated Sargento Snacks Cheeze & Sticks, Cheeze & Cheddar Sticks, Cheeze & Pretzels, and Cheeze & Crackers is made with beef rennet. All of their CHEESE products are designated Clean. Nature's Own Update 02-25-04 100% Wheat Bread is designated Clean. It contains no animal ingredients. Nestle Update 02-01-04 Hot Pockets, Lean Pockets, Croissant Pockets, and Pizza Mini's are all designated Unclean. Kraft Update 01-22-04 Planter's Dry Roasted Peanuts contain gelatin from beef and pork collagen. They are designated Unclean. Krafts Velveeta and Kraft Singles are still Unclean. These products are produced on machinery used to process pecorino romano cheeses containing pork derived pepsin. Sara Lee Update 01-22-04 Their Croissants (Petite and Original) are no longer being processed on machinery used to process their cream pies and other products containing pork derived ingredients. They are now being processed in a kosher certified plant and are designated Clean. Kraft Update 01-16-04 Kraft's Jell-O Gelatin is now bearing a circle K kosher symbol. These products are still designated Unclean because the original source of the gelatin is pork. The Kosher organization OK has given Kraft's Jell-O Gelatin a kosher status of Clean because of the way the pork gelatin has been processed. Naturemade Update 01-16-04 Nature's Resource Cranberry 405mg is Clean. The Gelatin used in their products is derived from beef. |
